Why We Chose Linwood Harbour Campground

Sometimes, the best stops are the unexpected ones. Linwood Harbour Campground was a perfect "one-nighter" for us—conveniently located, easy to access, and just what we needed after a long travel day.

Our Criteria for a Good "One-Night" Stop:

✔ Easy on/off the route – A few miles off the highway but parallel to it, making re-entry seamless.

✔ Safe access – Wide roads and a stress-free entrance (no cursing from the driver!).

✔ Level sites with 30+ amp power – Check! Plus, spacious pull-through sites with nice grassy areas.

✔ Bonus features – Scenic views, nature trails, and proximity to local attractions.

First Impressions

- Small & Quiet – A pleasantly wooded campground with a relaxed, nature-filled vibe.

- Friendly Owners – A husband-and-wife team greeted us, offered local tips, and made us feel welcome.

- Great Views – The campground overlooks Linwood Harbour, and I even caught a stunning sunrise (thanks to my cats' 5 AM wake-up call!).

Nearby Attractions: Antigonish Golf Club

Antigonish Golf Club

We arrived early to squeeze in a round at the Antigonish Golf Club, just a short drive away. This hilly, scenic course was a fun challenge—though we only got through nine holes before rain cut our game short. Definitely worth revisiting!

Antigonish Town (30 minutes away) is also a great stop for history lovers, with charming streets to explore

Amenities & Practical Details

✅ Full hookups (water, electric, sewer)

✅ Easy pull-through sites (fit our 44-foot rig with no issues)

✅ Clean laundry facilities & small camp store (with firewood available)

✅ Pet-friendly – Though my cats weren't thrilled about the wet grass!

The Bottom Line

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Linwood Harbour Campground was a pleasant surprise—more than just a quick stopover. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, friendly hosts, and nearby golf course so much that we're considering adjusting our return route to stay here again.

Would we recommend it? Absolutely—especially for travelers looking for a quiet, well-located spot with a touch of Nova Scotia charm.
