About Pippy Park

Pippy Park is one of Canada's largest urban parks, spanning over 3,400 acres of protected natural landscapes. Often called a "green oasis" at the edge of St. John's, it offers stunning views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean, along with peaceful surroundings. The park features a golf course, a spacious campground for tents and RVs, over 120 km of hiking trails, and a botanical garden—all just 3.6 km from downtown St. John's.

What sets Pippy Golf Club apart isn't just the challenging layout – it's the spectacular mountain-top location. Playing from this elevation, with panoramic views overlooking St. Johns, transforms every hole into a scenic adventure.

The course conditions were solid, and while we found it busy, the pace of play remained reasonable. Both the holes and greens present a good challenge, making it engaging for golfers of various skill levels.

Final Thoughts

Lovely Views
Lovely Views

We genuinely enjoyed our round at Pippy Golf Club and would have loved to return for another 18. Unfortunately, the Avalon Peninsula offered so many attractions that we couldn't squeeze in a second visit – a testament to both the golf course's appeal and the region's rich offerings.

Rating:

Solid choice for both locals and visitors seeking challenging golf with unbeatable views.
