    The Play

After touring the romantic Boldt Castle we decided we needed to play the Thousand Island Golf Course – with significant ties to George Boldt.  Getting a tee time was easy and the course wasn’t crowded.  Great pace of play we easily finished in 3.5 hours.

  • Course Layout and Scenic Highlights

We really enjoyed this course as it didn’t follow the typical course that has 9 holes  ending back at the club house then another 9 holes ending at the club house.  This course went back and forth over a little road, up into the woods and along the rivers.   We enjoyed the rolling hills, some elevation and some river views.

Several unusual holes that we really had to guess where we were supposed to go and we often consulted the “golf guide” book provided to us at the pro shop.

  • Pricing & Value

Very reasonable we played at 3:00 for $30 each including cart

    Hackers Restaurant

A great spot for drinks after your round or a quick bite to eat if you're just passing through. Dine inside to views of the St. Lawrence River, or dine on the deck and soak up the sun with a bird's eye view of the fifth green on the Old Course.

  • Final Take away:

The history behind the course itself is enough reason to play.  The course layout was fun and interesting.
