We really wanted to see Peyto Lake. Getting to down to the actual lake is a lot more work than Lake Louise and Moraine lake – we found a pull off – no other vehicles - and took the Peyto Lake Access trail – the trail to the lake is just under a mile

Bow Lake is one of the largest lakes along the Icefields Parkway and marks the beginning of one of Canada's most famous rivers—the Bow River.

One of our favorite stops is Bow Lake, right along the Icefields Parkway. This time, we decided to hike the Bow Glacier Falls Trail.

One thing we've learned during our travels is that not every famous hike lives up to the hype—and not every hidden trail gets the attention it deserves.
