Getting There

Easy access just a couple miles off I-495. The entrance roads are RV-friendly, though heads up - there's an immediate uphill climb right at the entrance. Our rig handled it fine, but it's worth noting for planning purposes.

Campground Amenities

The camp store stocks essentials like firewood and ice, plus they've got all the standard amenities - laundry facilities, playgrounds, dog run, and propane. As for WiFi... well, they claim to have it. Like most campgrounds, you might connect but don't count on actually using it for anything meaningful. Why do they even bother?

Cat Friendly Features

The cats absolutely loved this site! It was wide and spacious, giving them plenty of room between our setup and neighboring campers. The abundance of trees meant endless entertainment watching birds and squirrels both from inside the RV and out in their outdoor space. The level site was perfect for setting up the full "tunnel & cat tent" system - no adjustments needed!

The Camping Experience

This place nails the authentic camping experience! Beautifully wooded with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel like you're truly getting away from it all. Our site was perfect - except for the neighboring house's landscaping crew who apparently thought 8 AM was the perfect time for an hour-long leaf-blowing symphony. Pro tip: they really seemed to enjoy their work!

Prime Location for Exploring

Hands down the best campground choice in the area for convenience and charm. You're perfectly positioned to explore Littleton, Concord, and Lexington - we even did an epic ice cream taste tour (https://www.travelwelllive.com/post/littleton-concord-lexington-ma-a-sweet-stop-on-the-road-to-bar-harbor) of the area!

Only 40 miles from Boston, but skip the driving headaches and take the train (about an hour) to avoid traffic and parking nightmares.

Golf Nearby

We also discovered that Shaker Hills Golf Course (https://www.travelwelllive.com/post/shaker-hills-golf-course-massachusetts-1-public-course-lives-up-to-the-hype) - Massachusetts' #1 rated public course - is right nearby. Spoiler alert: it absolutely lives up to the hype!

Exceptional Service

The hosts went above and beyond, personally escorting us to our site and helping with the backing process down a slight hill. That kind of service makes all the difference when you're navigating a new campground.

Final Verdict

4.5 out of 5 stars. This campground hits all the marks - great site, fantastic location, reasonable price, genuine hospitality, and perfect for traveling with cats. We're already planning our return trip to spend more time exploring this incredible corner of Massachusetts, and Spacious Skies will definitely be our base camp again.
